Waipawa - Notice

As quoted from Pacific club newsletter...

First off, make sure you realise the November race day has been delayed by two weeks (now Nov 27th) due to the Taupo series falling on the same day. For those that can, come ride in taupo! For those that cant, come and help for the day and see what the fuss is about

Thanks to Dave and Bruce who sprayed the Waipawa track to kill the weeds. This is the first step in preparing the track to be sealed and tidied over the summer.

FREE BBQ AND DRINKS (only a small catch)
Date is yet to be confirmed (prob a sat in late nov) But we will get the portable spray unit and tidy up the sealing. It will require a mornings commitment to get the job done from as many volunteers as possible. The club will put on a bbq and drinks for lunch for those that know the value of the track to the club and can help out with this small amount of maintenance.
(Feel the guilt trip yet??)


I would just like to add there is no bucket class in the taupo series, however i beleive any of you could take your own road bikes out at lunch, or strip and race them.

Is Chris Wong stil Pacific Club president he was a good guy Id be keen as well if a few Welly guys are willin to do a bit of a road trip there

Chris is still in the club. Not the prez though. He was racing buckets on a gl145, but had a real nasty spill at taupo on his 600. I beleive they had to take tendons from his foot and graft them to his shoulder. Hes fine and living life, but i beleive his racing days are over..
There are a couple of welly boys with street magics that cruise up to race with us every month. RG100! is considering coming up, so talk to him if you want. Any qns, just contact me.
