    Tyres for My ZXR250

Hey all i know there are hundreds of post regarding tyres (314 to be exact)

but not really sure about my choices.

    My bike currently has:

    Front: GT501F Arrowmax 110/70 - 17 - 54
    Rear: GPR 80 Arrowmax 140/60 R18 64h

I am a boy racer and do like to push my bike..
I didn't mind the dunlops but they had a tendency to skip out a bit when pushed but as this was my first bike not sure if that just normal or not.

Just wonder what you guys can recommend for my bike. and if possible approximate prices??

    Cheers all.

p.s sorry to keep posting this subject but all i was getting was tyres for all you 1000cc lucky bastards.....

The Dunlop GPR70 is the more 'sporty' of the GPR range.

I used to run a pirelli mtr01 110/70 on the front and a dunlop gpr80 140/60/18 on teh rear and i never had any trouble from them
except when the front let go on me and sent me into a fence post and pulling it out of the ground but that another story
and i used to push my 250 pretty hard

Try leaving your fuel tap on reserve.

I'm running Bridgestone BT92 on the rear and a BT96 on the front. So far I'm very happy with them. They set me back just under $400 for a set fitted. However they are not as sticky as the BT39ss that I used to run on my FXR, possibly its just a matter of learning a 250s limits as its completely different to riding the wee 150.

Yes, they're as bad as 014's eh?

Whats with the hammer? Is that your special technique for fixing broken gsxrs? I thought EPOXY glue and KENAD-IT were the shiz?

Any way back to tires. I'd recommend a BW201 front and TW42 rear.
We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. The whole department is fucked. It's the biggest cock-up ever. We're all completely fucked.

Yer the arrows do have this tendancy to forego traction at times.

    so far it seems:

Bridgestone BT92 on the rear and a BT96
    and
    BW201 front and TW42 rear

hows the wear/grip levels in compar. to gpr80 etc??

    once again thanx all.

Just got a set - good tyres.

But they wear out very quickly. Mine didn't look new after just 100ks of medium paced riding.

That'll give your wallet some practice for when you get into litre bikes...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yes... 014's with hard sidewall... and the legendary Colemans after sales suspension setup (crank everything to the hardest) I have to thank for...

Well.... think my EPOXY and KENAD-IT worked better than your effort on the CBR250 :P
