As the police spokesman said at the time,"it will be heavily enforced"

Been here on this one before but just can not resist some comments. It's not that people are stupd it's the LTNZ that is at fault for the roundabout signaling fiasco. On any other intersection if I am going straight ahead I am not required to signal, but no the boffins at the LTNZ in their wisdom have deemed that at roundabouts I must use my indicators when going straight ahead. I don't care if its after the left or right hand exit I will not add to the confusion of other road users and thereby risk my life or an accident just because some wanker at at the LTNZ believes that this law is in the public interest.

So you don't think that it's considerate to indicate to other roundabout users which exit you're going to take?
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

WTF?? You're one of them aren't you? Sent here to test me.

Signal when you're leaving a roundabout!

Yeah - signal when you leave a roundabout (IF the Dia allows) otherwise you will just become one of the MANY wankers who are causing confusion

Just today at a roundabout that controls a Tee intersection I nearly got trapped (my fault) when a car with it's right indicator on actually was doing a U turn by going back whence they came.
And I had wrongly assumed it was just another wanker indicating that 'they' were not turning left - by putting on the r/h indicator as 30% do when 'they' are in fact NOT changing direction but going straight ahead and think that the arc of the Roundabout 'they' are negotiating constitutes a r/h turn????????

It was not even close to an accident BUT those who write; assume nothing, regardless of indication at Roundabouts since LTSA applied their new rools - are right.................

I know that writing this will achieve NOTHING as it preaching to the converted - but I feel a bit better now...........

i'd forgotten about the spinning bar, an experience in itself, not too unlike the magic round-a-bout(s). Thanks for the bling bling Biff and some coming your way for the mammories of the revolving bar

I figure after driving/riding in the UK and other major cities you take on a defensive style and look after yourself, assume the worst and cater for it.

    I never indicate!
It is a sign of weakness and as an Aucklander I'm more important than you are so you don’t deserve to know where I'm going!
Not that its any of your business anyway, why do you want to know?
Nosy little insignificant! If I had more time I'd clime out of my Hummer/Cayane/X5 BMW/Euro trash 4X4, and slap you with a soggy paninni and throw my supertrimdecaflatemocha at you!
Lucky I have to go and drive blindly through red lights while talking on my $968739573.67 cell phone which is so much prettier than yours on my way to some poncy gym that the likes of you wouldn’t be allowed in!
We all have our little obsessions...
