eek God made me do it!

    God made me do it.

As most of you will have gathered by now i normally don't filter.

Today god made me. As I pulled onto the north western at rush hour from st Lukes all of a sudden about 15 cars all pulled over to let me past So I filled the gap. From there to rosebank rd whenever the traffic slowed to below 50kmph they parted again. I resisted till 30kmph but then realised that this many bikers could not have all taken their cars to work today by simple coincidence so I followed the path laid out for me as the traffic parted like the red sea for Moses.

Sometimes the circumstances in life appear to be the handiwork of the Almighty, but do you really believe that God works in this way?

If you do, then just maybe He did part the north-western sea of traffic for you!

Just to be sure it wasn't I used the whole "Deliver us from temptation" line. Immediately more people parted.

I know I am using this to justify actions I normally decry, as far as some of you are concerned. My god loves me and he works in mysterious ways I take the knocks but I also take advantage of his help when he offers it as the good lord helps those who help themselves (except shoplifters).

Just to get a little spititual for a moment, many has been the time that signs from god have been the difference between life and death. The question is is it because he has a purpose for me or because he doesn't want me in heaven? :spudwave:

Is this not a cop out tho. So you can be reckless all through out your life and provided you say 'I'm Sorry' - all is forgiven??

Why is it all the death row prisioners find God not long before they are executed? Maybe they want another go at the people they killed when they are in heaven?

Those signs may plant a small seed of reminder in the subconscious of the cage driver, but I wouldn't say that any of them stay awake at night thinking about how more aware and considerate of motorcyclists they are going to be in the future!

I'm still planning on staying in front of them at all times on the road where possible.

I worry about being tailgated by tintops. In an emergency stop situation and the braking ability of my bike, I would be run over by the tintop while it is still trying to stop!!!

You continue to misread my smilies Cincinnati Kid! Even though what you say are certainly valid points, and I have answers to them, I was not being altogether serious in my post to BD about entry into heaven!

When I say stay in front of them I mean with a fair distance between...unless it is heavy traffic I try and get as far in front of cars, etc as possible- I can control my bike but I can't control other motorists.

BTW you have a very awesome bike there Yman!

    Howdy doody MadDuck,

God created the heaven and the earth, the animal kingdom & mankind also...but motorcycles? Maybe you mean that He gave man the intellect to invent motorcycles? Yeah I think that's what you were driving at.

About planning to stay ahead of the traffic, it is possible to do this without breaking the laws of God and man...with more riding experience you may find out how?
