    Offerings to the Gods..

Just a spin off, of JSG's thread about how he managed to do such a decent job of his engine, what have you go on display where ever, in offerings to the Gods of two (and sometimes one) wheel?

I've got the keys and rotors to my old CBR250RR
hanging on the bedroom wall, all I have left of it after Postie aniliated it. Nothing was salvaged, and I wasn't allowed to take anything off it, cos the assesor hadn't seen it. So I took the keys.. The rotors are just old ones that I had to replace, but I still have them..

    A nail
That went into my back tyre and I rode for about 30k's with it stuck in, getting squishier and squishier. I was meant to have picked up a new tyre, which it would have punctured, but a turn of fortune meant I had to get it a couple of days later. Thankful for that. That's nailed into the wall, next to the keys

    A '95 ZX6 frame
Which is gonna be cleaned up and made into a table or something. This is off a bike I bought where the dude landed heavy from a wheelie and split the frame. I've bought a new one which is in the process of being cleaned up..

Probably many more to come, and I should have kept some other stuff from years past too, but the start of my collection all the same.. And I know people have gargre loads of stuff, but what 'keep-sakes' have you kept onto?

    2 bikes written off.

I have the right hand footpegs off my RC30 and my TRX, and the right hand toe slider off the boot I was wearing when I crashed the TRX.

The door of my old Datsu charade the only part that wasn't totalled.

The wing mirror of the '88 GSX ... that I totalled - without insurance.

    And some bitter memories...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I have the indicators off my CG125 and my RG400. Those are my trophies.

    Cool

The two shocks off my Virago... One is totally bent out of shape.
But I had to replace them both...I was hit side on by a car at the rear of the bike. I replaced them with GN250 shocks... But now need the rubber thingee's that sit up inside the shocks or another set of GN250 shocks.

A oil cap as this one was screwed in off thread.

A regulator thingee... ok thats not what its called... but it stopped the bike from working after the battery went flat and I crashed started it....
    Never crash start a Virago.

Brand new spokes for a rear wheel for the Virago...
Had to buy a whole kit when 4 spokes were broken.
(Thanks to Speedpro for fixing up the bike)

Front tyre - Its still ok to be used... was replaced when I won a complete set of tyres from Motohaus. The rear tyre went in the bin.

    Thats it.....

But have lots of car parts.

I have the key from the TLR, the only road bike I have crashed. The rear seat cowling is also hanging up as a memorial. Somewhere in a drawer I also have a ground down rear brake lever after I got overly enthusiastic going round a corner on the RF. That was the only thing I kept from that bike after a mate binned it for me. Tell you what tho, when I heard the noise it made going round the corner, my first thought was that I was scrapping the fairing. Was glad when I pulled over to realise that it was *only* the lever touching down. I already knew it was leant over a long way after having my boot pushed up off the foot pedal while going round the corner . . .
