I use my " Seat of the pant's " DYNO . Dyno run my old GSXR1100 on one then took it to another & was 14HP less this was in the same day too so was scratching my head were 14HP went in 50k's between shop's . Still won the Dyno shoot out tho but went home feeling alittle Bummed out to say the least .

DYNOS ARE GOOD FOR COMPARISONS ONLY, BUT EVEN THEN I DROPPED SOME HP ON THE DYNO BUT GAINED HP AND ACCELERATION AT THE TRACK WHEN I WENT UP 1 JET SIZE CAUSE MY ZX9 WAS RUNNING RICH ON THE DYNO AS THEY CANT PRODUCE A 300KMH WIND FOR THE RAM AIR , NOT THE NZ ONES ANYWAY

Is the RB Dyno an inertia dyno or something ?

I know with cages there are sooo many different dynos and their readings are all over the place. With my STI cage (before my stroker engine) my car was 175kw at the wheels on torque performance dyno, and on a dynopack hub dyno it was 183kw at the wheels same boost, same everything just two completely diff dynos

Dynos are a bunch of arse, they dont load the engine like it gets loaded on the road

    Thumbs up

While I do agree, some dyno's and operators are not very accurate, you can and should get a road loading to give relative result for your beastie.

I took mine to GP Trading and they are constantly using their dyno for real reasons and not just for the w-ank factor:spudwave:
