and what is it a % of? people who could be fucked responding? number of times they fell asleep while riding? the number of trips out of 100 they could make without it breaking down? the number of runners they did vs number of times they got caught?

Hmm, I notice all the japper's are right up there... even Kawasaki, I always felt Kawasaki was the least reliable of the jappers, but it seems fairly close to the rest. Good to see.

But hmm, I'm wondering about the accuracy of this survey. From what I've heard Harley's are mostly for show, because they don't like to go. So I'd have thought they'd be right at the bottom.

Well we Brits just tend to put up with things when they go wrong so the survey will be flawed to start with.

Then there's the weather difference, colder and wetter for more than here, and therefore fewer riding hours.

    Bears'll believe anything man.

One would have to assume that the Triumphs are Hinckley, not Meriden, and the Hogley's are '84 onwards...

How old are you, vtec? Kawasaki and Honda practically invented relaiability (Z900 & CB750). As for H-D, a bloke I know has put over 100,000 miles (that's 160,000Km+) on each of two Hogley Dogley's he has owned and, outside of servicing, never laid a spanner on either of them. On the other hand, another bloke I know had an AMC Hogley...

    BMW at the top?
Despite the problems with diffs, ECU's, cams.
This survey seems to be self-delusion.

    Moto Guzzi - 68%? You're kidding, right?

More like they break down after every 68 k's and need an entire rebuild.

Why do people knock HD so much? Ah they can't have one so they are crap. Get a life or a job!

Had mine for 2 1/2 years and 42500 km, the only problems I have had were my own doing.
