But with a difference - its of my favourite bike.

Strangely compelling, not particulary practical, but in desperate need of clear indicators and tail light.

Looking good except for the indicators, but still prefer the R1 chrome

where opinion holds more weight than fact.
It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Oh god no!!
Why would anyone want to ride that thing?
fingerprint smudges everywhere... and could you imagine the glare of the sun off of that thing?
that makes me wanna rock up flop my junk out and give the bike a big ol cock and balls print..
I bettcha a pound to a knob of goat shit that THAT bike has been low temp "chrome look" powder coated.... a relativley new process that allows most non metallic things to be 'Chromed". See your local powder coating outfit or even google it
Im about to do just that to my street tracker projects swing arm as real chrome does something called 'hydrogen embrittlement' if its not correctly heat treated after chroming, this could lead to cracking or even failure of the part. Powder coating gets round this potential problem
ITS NOT GETTING WHAT YOU WANT,BUT WANTING WHAT YOUVE GOT

That looks pretty cool, not what im into or would want to ride though.
At least it would be hi vis on the open road for all the cagers to see.

For such reasons the frame on my Cheney BSA was nickel plated not chromed.
Gold is probably OK too if you are feeling flush :-)

I disagree....its almost invisable. it would blend into its surroundings like a cameleon (spelling).Originally Posted by judgeshock

Sorry to dredge up a thread thats had its day but theres an update on this bike. It got stolen a couple of weeks after being posted, a week later the bike was recovered by the police lying on its side in the back of a stolen truck. Sounds as though that side is rooted as well as the exhaust system.
I guess some people don't like other people having nice stuff.![]()
Jesus, its like a mirror on wheels.
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
That's sad..Originally Posted by ZZR
