    CHEAP PLACE FOR TYRES

Just Noticed this morning my back tyre is a bit balding, I have only done 2000kms since i bought my bike from red baron and it looks like its time to replace the tyre (its a shitter in the wet anyhow)

I aint got a the cash to throw 300$ into a tyre just before xmas an all, anyone know where to get some reasonable second hand tyres ? in Auckland ...

Ill buy a new one in the new year, just want something to get another 2000 kms out of over xmas

    Any Ideas Chaps

Have a bit of a phone around, most places should be able to help. Try Cycletreads (486-2472) as I have found them most helpful (and also will give you an excuse to go for a ride over the bridge...)

    Cool

I am replacing my rear tyre tomorrow at Motohaus plus the front brake.
The last set were put on 3/11/02 at 37,763km on the clock
My bike is now up to approx 72,000km so I reckon my Avons lasted well (34,237kms).

The front tyre was put on at the same time... and is still ok.
These were the set that I won from Kerry when he ran a competition.

F*** me! I get sad and depressed that I'm such a pussy that I get over 6,000k outta a rear!

    Cool

The original set only lasted 17,850kms
Then I replaced the second lot at 37,763km as it was worn out when I won the competition... so that was great timing.

I still have the second front tyre in my garage with plenty of tread left on it...
Which will go back on the bike at some stage...

As I ride a cruiser, I guess that I'm not rough on the tyres...
I dont go hooning around on the bike...
So maybe there is a lesson in that ...
