    New 2003 sv650s

Well a new look for the sv650 for the 2003 model, and I must say my first impressions are not good. I don't really like the angular look.

Electronic fuel injection definitely sounds promising thou.

But I still prefer the look of the original.

Any news on the price, will the 2003 be the same price as the 2002, if it is, it's not a bad deal. Add injection and LCD for same money. I think the angular look will grow on me.

Now this is what the 2003 SV650s should have looked like.

Is that a Ducati wheel & swingarm?
I still dont like the standard SV fairing much
The blue thing is from the US with a Shark Skinz fairing and sundry other mods.

I hesitate to say "typical Suzuki effort". Goes well but undercooked in the styling and finish departments. All that trellis work looks like it needs a rose climbing up it. The seat's too high for a 650 as well. Anybody shorter than 5 foot 5 in the old money would really struggle to ride one. That rules out most women, so I guess you can see who Suzuki have in mind as the target market...

That "blue thing" is significantly modified. I noted the single-sided swingarm too -- as well as the inverted front shocks. The arse with the underseat exhaust looks nice in side view. Somebody has gone to a lot of trouble with this one...

I like the angled new look to be honest spank. The older curves remind me too much of that never-was TT600 Triumph. The 2003 angles and bigger parallelogram headlights have their own unmistakable character (whether people like it or not, uniqueness is invaluable).
Now, if only Suzuki would ditch their obsession with black plastic tail stings!
Where did you get the tail end mods done on your SV1000? Wouldn't mind tidying up my GSXR in a similar fashion if the price is right.
