    Using protection...

is not fun...but is one of these radiator protectors likely to have any effect on cooling efficiency? Will it likely cause any other problems?

After a K5 (I think he's 'Torque' on KB) got a holed radiator on the Peninsula a while back, I'm thinking it might be a good idea (I've heard they cost a fair bit to repair too).

All bikes used to come with radiator protection.... But in the quest to make them lighter and faster these have been done away with. I know what i'd prefer. Putting mesh protection on will not hinder cooling in new zealand conditions.

I have put one on mine. Runs a little warmer around town is all. Easy to clean and peace of mind for those rocks that want to pop a role in the rad.
