    Who waved back? Saturday SH1 South Is

    You know who you are. Me: on wee red vespa going south hell for leather, you: about 60% of fellow bikers, even a few Harley riders.

    I did see a red scooter something another going full steam southwards around Ashburton on sat afternoon - would have been about 5ish I recon. Dunno if it was you but I'm pretty sure I nodded to whoever it was (I randomly pick a wave or nod). I would have been on a gray/black (actually unpainted) CBR250, and my mate behind me on a red GSX400.

    Keen bastard - scooter on the main highway!

    It was a good day - even most the Harley guys waved back.

    Its good to know. I haven't lost all faith in the world yet... You're a legend by the way... Going to the brass monkey next year? I saw 4 or 5 scooters this year!

    Brass monkey definitely on the cards. Might be on the bigger wheeled bike though.

    Fair call. I managed to locate warmer & drier clothes now. Hopefully get through it next year without frostbite.
