    damn u lucky

I agree, a decent 250 will do plenty for a 16yr old (like myself) although their cost is now a drawback, my 87' does the commuting job well and keeps up on the medium paced rides with dad and co.
And i hope you been in contact with the fence owner, as a farmers son next to a main road i've done plenty of work on broken fences that noone owned up to.

Afterall you're still in one piece which is good news.

yeah, the farmer sed dont worry about it. the decent 250's are outa the 2k price range, and the bros cost $1930. and it was in mint condition.

The issue isnt that the bike was too big for the lad, its the lad was going too fast for both him and the bike.

Tough luck dude, sounds like you were real lucky. Any plans on rebuilding or are you just going to get a new ride?

I THINK THAT A GOOD RGV 250 WOULD BE JUST AS FAST AND SLIGHTLY MORE DANGEROUS THAN HIS 650 .
SO ITS NOT REALLY AN ISSUE APART FROM HIM BREAKING THE LAW WHICH IS AN ASS ANYWAY

rebuild, it'll still cost less than another decent ride. [the bike was worth $4500 when bought 2 weeks ago privatly and i got it for $1930] so i owe her $2570 in a manner of speaking.

I have had similar (but no crash) stuff happening exiting corners at 140+ with corrugations and crappy road work. Could have been just as bad. This (same with me) was really a case of just speeding in the wrong place at the wrong time.
edit: and all on a perfectly learner legal zxr250c...

Sorry to hear bout that mate.

It's a better learners bike than a RGV or NSR.

Don’t give a rats what you where on, just glad you’re ok!
Binned my one last Sunday for going too fast into a corner and ACC can foot the bill for that as well!
After 16 years of paying rego on bikes and cars I'm glad someone is using the money and its not just going to the thieving swine’s in the beehive!
Hope the bikes not too bad, take tomorrow off and get some arnica for the bruising.

The "Holier than thou" shit on this site is beginning to really piss me off!
I take it its just me and about 10 other people who speed, lane split and do other stupid/fun things while the rest of you study the osh regulations every night so you can come down on those who are actually living there lives even if it means having some scars at the end of it all?
You cant all be that old that you can’t remember your own youth!
160? So what? My 250 will do that along with any other 250 so what is the point of kicking him when he's down?
It was a Honda Bros, not 1000RR!
We all have our little obsessions...
