I dont have a choice either. But even if I did have an option I would anyway.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

Interesting to see the 100% response in favour of "headlights on".
Obviously, the riders I see everyday without their sparklers glowing have not yet voted ...personally, (and though a cager will STILL say they didnt see you) riding without your lights on is just plain ol' daft...

what I have chosen to do lately tho, just to really piss people off, and for a bloody good cause, is stick the full beam on while filtering. Then people get blinded by the light, think something along 'fuckin bike... rar rarar...'.. point is, they see me more (instead of pull out), and acknowledge that I'm there..
I'm with you on this one. I'd rather they squint than I die.

Right on the money there both of you. While I always ride with my light on, I have been run into by a geriatric who must have taken too many blue pills and 'didn't see me'. I have found women drivers are usually the ones who pull out of an intersection without even looking, then stop in the middle of the road, blocking both lanes. WTF is with that?

Dangerous, do you want this one, or can I???

    Alright then.

Just because the headlight on the XJ doesn't work, doesn't mean you have try and look like a hardarse.

no i dont because i dont want cars to move over or panic i just want to be left to do my own defensive riding i dont need cars spitting the shit up off the side of the rd just because im behind them. iv had a cop pull me up and tell me he couldnt see me and to turn light on in the middle of the day which was another purfect reason to keep it off

    Look this way Jim

The headlight only stopped working on the XJ after Rashika rode it anyway, bloody Harley riders are rough on gear

head light, park and main is hard wired on, and i guess the on board computer turns the main light on once the engine is fired up.
