Possibly,I don't remember any use of the bike before McIntosh got it,like of lot of bikes it was out of it's era and not really able to race - which is one of the reasons the classic movement started. It was a potent weapon, beating even other Vincents, although I remember one came over from OZ and gave it a run for it's money. When the CBX 1000 was the biggest and bestest bike in the world I remember the Egli and CBX going head to head in a few races, very closely matched and a tie I think...um,I'd say the Egli might of had a tad more handling...

If memory serves me right there was a chap that had one with a side car attacthed down in the south island. Once again it was a well used example.

Hugh Anderson raced what I thought was a Macintosh framed Vincent years ago in the Battle of the Twins in the early to Mid Eighties, or was it that one?

They didn't really break the record as the criteria under which Bob Burns set the record have changed so it can't be taken off him, they set a new record but for another class

In about 1992-93 when I did the Rusty Nuts 1000 miler there was a guy on a Vincent who I think did it within the required time

And this one below was at the Sound of Thunder about 1986
