    takanini - waipu

monday, what an excuse for a run. my mate had never really been north before, espically on SH16.
got the CBR1000f (the Whale) and i am the rider.
    and geared up and off.
so the idea was sh16-welsford-kaiwaka lunch-waipu-cove-langs-mangawahi-welsford-silverdale-dairyflat-coatsville-kumeu-back to takanini. with a few other stray roads in between. as well as dodging the showers.
the day was great a bit of a scenic ride with a slow medium pace. and no fines.
great roads the whale was behaving and enjoyed not being thrashed. nice sun patches and open stratches. and spring smells. nice except the cattles trucks. smell those things a mile away.
but i got to say thanks to a rider i passed in te hana north of wellsford, on a naked bike. gave me the hand up circular motion : police ahead. thanks dude.

and the roads around waipu cove to mangawhai were awesome. brilliant day all around 400kms travelled and back in time to miss auckland traffic. its a road recommened. i forgot how nice it was.
