    my 160 kph crash....

my day was very eventfull my ride lasted 4minutes and 1 crash.... iwas heading down a straight just out of eketahuna towards pahiatua and was gaining on a cage quite quickly... so theres this nice lonnnnnnnng corner ahead and a great grass verge, so in my 2 day old leather jacket and new jeans i speed up to 160 to pass said cage, thats all fine and gravy, i pull out and theres no cages coming around the lonnnnng corner and i accelerate from 160 a wee bit, as i am beside the cage i hit some corrugations in the road.....and my bike packed a huge wobly dropped on my now barely working leg and decides to carry on passing the car on its side....so natualy i fly through the air and bounce spin roll and do general gymnastics untill i hit a farm fence post, break the friggin fence post continue down the grass verge and just for good measure hit the fence again and break that too, roll for a while, bounce on head and stop in a pile 60 somthing metres down the road. all the gymnastics happened on grass fortunatly. i must be the luckiest guy around to survive a 160kph crash and walk away, if i was wearing my codura jacket my back and ribs would be getting glued back together. my bike is pretty fucked as logic would say, but its mainly cosmetic......so now i have a very badly bruised body and one stuffed bike and a very bad experience in my hands.......i dont have insurance.....and there musta been something wrong with the bike too do that i will not be put of bike though. i cant believe i survived, thanks to the bikers that stopped to chek up on me

Far out that sounded like a serious accident! Glad you were able to walk/stagger away and return home to write about it. I hope you get yourself thoroughly checked out and back to good health soon! Sorry about the Bros650.

You are one lucky camper. Your time was obviously not up. Hope the bumps and bruises heal quick and good luck getting the bike fixed.

and you're like what, 16? and on a learners? no wonder our ACC/registration/insurance is so high, and our profile is so poor.

Mate dont worry about at least you are fine and have learned something from the experience. Bikes can be replaced and acc can get topped up from the taxes we paid!

Hey, hes suffered a bit already today.
Im so sorry to hear about your mishap DL...I know you were humming about your new bike. Unfortunatley for you your mistake cost your bike. Lucky for you it didnt cost your your health. Take this as a lesson and save up for another bike and some insurance next time dude. Good luck with your job and stuff.
