Thumbs up What it's all about

Today I had to goto Devonport to pick something up for my old man,

I encountered the things that makes biking what it is.

First off, I get caught in the rain, I get cold and wet , kinda ticked off, but that's part of the deal.

Then I make good use of some lane splitting

Nearly got caught in the rain on the way back, but pulled into a BP, where I grab a pie and have a 10min chat with a guy in his 40's on a scooter, wish each other a safe journey and I'm off again.

    It was fun for me

at the end of the thunder run from the recent motorcycle rally in nelson, I met a really nice dude, we talked for about 10 minutes, shook hands and made our seperate ways.

I don't even think I got his name. He used to race sport bikes, but he got a road legal dirt bike before he killed himself

    motorbikes are cool

    Heh,

motorcycling is blantantly ignoring the signs suggesting against using pohongana
valley as a shortcut and spending 2 hours on hilly gravel roads (marbles) before ending back where you started and having another 5 hours to ride back to hamilton at 3 pm.

almost slid into the ditch 4 times.

Then it rained in the desert road.

and you have to ride at 10, 000 rpm in sixth gear crouched down the whole with the chasis rattling like a bumble bee.

and you trousers don't fit so your ankles are reasonable cold considering the snow on ruapehu. leather aint that warm either

But I enjoyed every minute of it.

    as mentioned in LOTPIHGAD

man I made a kick arse move on my bike today

Some gimps had pull out when their light was green and covered the intersection, because the lights a short while ahead were red, so as soon as I'm green, bam! inbetween a car and bus and 90 degrees to the road, make a right pull up on the left of the bus, now when i started the other light had gone green, so the bus was going, just got in front of it just in time

It was another classic 'Raiders march' / Indiana moment
