Synthetic or Simi synthetic oil for 6'000km engine?

So I have a GSXR that is run in... around 6'000km. I have been running simi synthetic oil up till now... should I switch to synthetic oil to keep wear down?

or should I stick to simi for other reasons... e.g friction for gear change and etc...

    Semi

Unless you are caning the shit out of it (track type, red line etc) semi will be fine.

Really depends on the oil - i love that synthetic motul over the semi.
Most newer engines are actually designed to run better on the full synthetic. I run semi-syn in Saphire but she is like 15 or something years old.

    Use old chip oil.

If it's good enough for a Honda Cub, it's good enough for your gixxer.

Might even boost the midrange torque.

I run an infant GSXR and mine was switched to fully synthetic at 5,000km and it's not looked back since. It runs better on it too.
If you want to, can afford it, go for it is all I can say. Ring around bike shops and you'll hear them say fully synthetic is the way to go for your machine. I know this because when I ask about FXR 150, they think I meant GSXR 750

Unless your racing there is no need for anyone to run Fully Synthetic oil.
    Semi is more than fine.

When I had my 6k service, I asked about the oil. They didn't recommend full synthetic for the 6k. They reckon no more than semi for later services.
