    A good deal.

Blimey... cycling all that way into town... you're a fitter man than I.

I'm in Kohi, just round the corner from that coffee shop on the front. Head into work about 2pm everyday, usually a reasonable amount of nice looking lady cyclists / rollerbladers / joggers / whatever milling around on Tamaki Drive

Well, I don't have parking issues or whatever, but I take the bike because I can. It takes me right into the basement of the building, and I don't even need to lock it up (alhthough I've left the keys in it only occasionally).
Sometimes I take the car, usually when my wife asks me to, but it means I have to leave an hour earlier - not because of the traffic, but because I have to travel a bit further and if I'm not at work before 8AM, I have to park three blocks (~5 minutes walk) away.

The best thing about commuting by bike is that it wakes me up: you have to be super alert when biking. Strangely, I enjoy the morning commute more than the one home: the route works better one way than t'other; I'm sharper (less weary); it's usually cooler; the traffic is better.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Bike every day. I find I hate driving the cage now, it feels like I can't see anything with all those pillars in the way. I even prefer riding in the rain unless it's really pissing down or hailing.

Only use the cage for when I need to transport things the bike can't carry.

I used to ride my bike every day until some little sh*t in a Honda Civic smacked it, its nearly restored and I'm driving my Terrano at the moment. If he tries it again I guarantee I will win next time, big 4x4 Versus little civic!! I'm gonna squish him .

Have both, use mainly car during the week to get to work, mainly due to lack of secure parking for my bike. So made sure have a nice little townie car (BMW 318Ti). Do enjoy it when I take the bike to work though, but must admit in the winter when I go to work in the dark and get home in the dark and its mostly raining I enjoy the comfort of the car. At least I get to really truely appreciate the bike when I get a chance to ride it. Feels bloody strange right now cause the Duke went last night, and the TL doesnt arrive until tomorrow so I am officially without bike, I HATE IT!. Paid for the TL tonight though, so am kinda a bike owner right now I guess, its just not in MY garage. What I do like about bike travelling is when we have to take kids you cant hear them complaining about, "when do we get there" like you do in the car, the whole journey is very pleasent indeed.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Oh I remember the days when my bike was my only means of transport fondly. No one else to worry about, get up and go any time it took my fancy. Loved that freedom! Even when my daughter was born, I never once contemplated selling my bike. Used to take her to kindy on it, risky I know, but she did have good gear and could reach the footpegs.
Now days I have no choice but to drive my kids around. Car is merely to move us from A to B. I steel opportunities to whip into town on my bike during the week and only need the slightest excuse to go out of town on the weekends.
When the nesties have grown and flown it will be back to bike only.

Bike bike bike to work and back each day including in the rain (and once in the snow). The car only comes out in the weekends and even then only when the bike is impractical.

When I bought the Z the idea was to ride to work, save on gas and time ect.
In reality I've only ridden in a few times because I hate the traffic just as much no matter what I'm riding.
It's just not quality riding time so I continue to take the Toyota, sit on 90 Kms all the way an fuck anybody that doesn't like it,I don't like them either so we're even.
