    Arrow Situation & Questions.

Hi there, I've just purchased a 1971 TS90 (was advertised as a 50, is registered as a 50, but actually is a 90cc engine- original). Now its registered as a moped, registration papers have it as a TS50, not the TS90 that it actually is. Now I have a motorcycle licience, but I brought it with the misses in mind. She had a bike licience before going to the UK and 14 years later returned and now only legally has a car licience. I'm wondering, say, if I get the misses to actually ride this thing and she gets pulled up by the Police. Would she get into trouble? I like the idea that its classified as a moped due to (???) cheaper rego (is that true, really hope it is) and no WOF (wtf???, I though all vehicles needed one???) I also want to start riding it to work and back so I can stop using the hilux and go back to staying on two wheels mostly (twas a mistake to buy one of the 4 wheeled things to be a runabout).
Plus the little 2 stroker will be alot cheaper to run.
On a side note, does anyone else have one of these little bikes and more importantly a spare workshop manual for one as it needs a tune up?
Edit: Modern technology is a great thing. I was talking to one of the previous owners who tells me the poor thing is nackered and has no compression. The bike was described as "needing tune up", not needing rebuild. The last Suzuki that I owned that got into that condition blew its piston shortly afterwards. I do so hope I win the auction for the Kawasaki instead....
Edit again: yea, sounds like the poor thing is totally stuffed after talking to the "actual" (?) owner and does not even have the original engine it it. Although I'm no longer buying the bike, I'm still interested in the questions raised above. Any takers? Oh and I know that since its not the original engine that it would need re doing as a new class of bike.

Arrow Oh well, maybe no one knows?

Anyhow, I've just brought a 1968 Kawasaki 125cc bike. The collection has begun.

Wotta shame - i used to have a Kawasaki 100 similar to the bike in the background (K1?), ended up selling it to a mate for $40. Really hated that bike.

My wife says that is a B1LA,she used to work for Laurie Summers.I did a bit of work on a mint one over 10yrs ago, they really, really fly for a bike their age,you can see why Kawasaki got a reputation for performance. The dreaded ''rotary'' gearbox - 1,2,3,4 N,1...or sometimes KaBooM!

I think SPman has,or had a TS90.One of the first trail bikes they were a really neat little bike. They have a rotary valve (rotary was a 70s thing, like flares) Certainly rebuildable, but spares would be a serious problem.

I think I'll try to get a gasket set for it and replace them all, might help it stay in nice condition.
Edit: it might fly, but I dont think I'll compare it to the bike it will be parked next to shortly.

    Congrats on the purchase mate
