hey on mine when it used to be a street bike i ducked alittle but not overly and yes the speedo is out by 10kph i had mine to 165 on the fxr speedo so about 155 top speed
cheers, Glenn
You'll get a solid 10-20kph out of lying down as much as possible.
Of course, with the size of an FXR150 versus the size of an average human, that'll more or less have you hanging your head over the front wheel, but hey... whatever works, eh?
And those digital FXR speedos are definitely ego-calibrated by 10% or better.
Ah, the FXR150; the perfect motorcycle for five-year-olds and 30kg gnomes.
I hear they wheelie pretty good, though.

I only posted this because of the global economic crisis
duck down over 100kph
*at least* 10kph out
never seen more than 145 on speedo (probably 130 true)
...and I don't wanna die, just want to ride my motorcy...cle (Arlo Guthrie)
if i duck down on my scoot, it doesn't really make any difference at all....
Yeah I hunch a little. The fxr 150 is designed for midgets so you have to put up with it.
I hit 142 (probably had a little downhill and maybe tail wind), I'm pretty sure speedo is correct because I don't think we were riding at 90kmph this weekend and it seems to match the speed everyone else is going.
Well I ride a RGV and they are very SImilar and my speedo is out by about 20k's but I tuck down a little not flat on the tank but enough so I am not dragging to much air and Yeah It hits out at 180 on clock so 160 max

oh sweet ill try ducking, shet i carnt get my fxr over 129kph so thats 119kph even down hillso i have no idear how you got it up to 140

oh and when u change into 6th gear are you surpose to loose speed coz i go faster n 5th, i carnt work that out...
The speedo of my old FXR was out by 20% (testes using GPS). I have never noticed any speed difference from ducking down so I never do it.
probably not in the right rev range cause that happens on the RGV of course the RGV is 2 stroke but I rev it right out till it is about to end on the clock then change and it keeps gaining so probably the same on FXR

I duck down over about 80, can do the 100 without ducking but I find it gets buffeted around alot more, weaving around in the lane, as well as the 5 or so k speed loss. And in normal flow on the motorway or out to Helensville I'm doing 125k apparently, and around town just off 70k.
