A REAL SOCIAL EVENT!



This is the Grand Finale for the year. Open Trials for all members. Novice, Classic, Twin shock and Modern. Sunday 4th December. Sign On at 9.30am - 10.30am. Trial Start at 11.00am. Entry on the day $15.00. No Competition Licence Required. But you MUST be a member of an MNZ affiliated club-please bring your card! Venue: Barry Stewarts's Property. Pendergrast Road, Mangatawhiri. SH 2 south of the Bombay Hills. Penergrast Road is on your left.
This will be a social event and the Gentlemen are to bring a plate (preferably with something on it!) and the Ladies to bring a flagon! N.B. if you want to be my friend I like JB & coke

This is probably our longest running event,the Xmas Trial is always held at Barry's.

Barry Stewart used to ride a TY175 back in the eighties,maybe earlier,because he was riding when I started in 1981.He was old then,but probably only as old as I am now (young!) and B Grade was harder than Expert Twinshock these days.There were trials held on Barry's farm,and anytime there was a problem with a venue,then it was held there.We used to camp out for the weekend down by the river,sitting around the fire....One year I took a housetruck down.Barry used to let us practise there too,we would just roll up,give him a wave and ride anywhere we liked,and once he finished what he was doing Barry would come and join us.He'll be there on the 4th watching us on his farm bike.

It should be a good trial,more relaxed than we normaly are,if that's possible! Maybe a trials demo if one of the experts turns up.One year Ray Skinner,his son and another rider turned it into a race,lining up together and charging through the sections,knocking each other off to be first across the line,crazy stuff.Um....I better get the rear wheel out and repair my exhaust,can't repair my front guard,I'll have to find something tomorrow.
