You're here and settled! Welcome to NZ, proper. (I been away so might have missed that you arrived some time ago)

Know a guy in Hailton looking for some trail riding buddies. Hamilton is only about 20min drive from Te Awamutu so would be sharing the same back roads anyway. Give a guy named Carver on this site a pm.

there's heaps of beach & dune riding about 60k west of TA, and forestry riding not too far from TA, esp. around and in the pureora forest, and tokoroa forest. PLENTY of gravel rd riding out on the west coast. you'll need to find a friendly farmer really for trail riding as such, although a couple of hours south is the monstrous 42nd traverse and it's myriad of tracks (all with free access i might add). some of the adventure riders would know better though - the busa is a bit of a handful on gravel....

that would be very helpful mate cheers, when we arrive we will know noone so any info will be great. i must admit i would be more into trail riding myself rather than mx, my step son has had a couple of bikes and really wants to get back into mx, i came off a few years back and smashed some ribs which kept me off work for a while and i really cant afford that again
