    Convincing the family

After starting riding motorbikes just a little while ago, I thought I'd done a good job of convincing the extended family that it was all for a good cause.

Then I received this from my sister:

Bugger em. Who are they to tell you that you can't ride and where you can ride to. Its your bike, your life and your petrol. WTF does it have to do with them????

(Sorry, got into a debate with the partners family)

And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds

Yep, I feel for ya mate. My family loathe my bike, and they've never even met her... they once asked when my "phaze" will pass. But seriously its such a hard one, you've gotta love and respect your family but it seems as though they dont respect your decision to ride and that makes things really hard!
I am going to Rotovegas for Xmas this year, my mother tried to forbid me from riding up their, said that it'd upset her too much. Lucky for her that neither me, nor my bike are ready for that longer distance. If you do find a way of making them accept you riding please do share how you did it!

Mate as long as your riding to enjoy yourself, arseholes to em.

The only thing that matters is that you enjoy yourself, you are not going to convince non riders, that its fun.

Ha ha, I got asked exactly the same question!! I think they are starting to work out it is not a phase. So far they are still hangin in there.
