Urgent Help

Hey I have struck a problem when I start my GT125 it runs perfect leave it ideling for 10/15 minutes then it starts leaking oil, is this becuase it is overfull or is it a serious problem that is going to stop me from racingf next weekend I was actually quite worried

I dunno if it will stop you from racing, but if its leaking oil then it might stop anyone behind you on the track from racing. Or riding home for that matter, once they pick up whats left of their bike after sliding off the track.

I actually stopped and thought about it I think it is overful and when it is idaling the oil starts spitting around when it gets real hot and leaks then will have to try it again I am sure it was just over filled tho now

It is not leaking out the sump either there is a oil pump on the top and it is coming out of there its doesnt leak when it sits doesnt leak when you ride for ages either only when you leave to idel

Chuck the pump and use premix then.

as bung bung saud its the two stroke pump ditch it as it obviously not working and they are bloody useless and like to block up and cause majour engine problems

what you doing leaving an air cooled engine idling for 10-15mins anyhow ?

no wonder its leaking oil it would be starting to cook itself!

Yeah but I dont think I will have it done in time so I am going to leave the oil pump and yes the motor was cooking but I only wanted to test it and see if it runs

yea well if its idleing for 2 mins its running aint it ivan??? no harsh words man, just use a little common sense

no I know that sounded dumb what I have been doing is all these different mods and have been working out Air fuel mixture it is quite a fresh engine and I wanted to heat it right up get all the pistons and rings real warm and wear in a little. I was not trying to do anything harsh I also wanted to see why it is doing that leaking oil only when it Idels Anyone know how to make a homemade Degreaser I think I have found the prob old oil on bottom of casing gets hot melts and starts dripping put some gasket sealer around oil pump mate thinks Gasket/seal might be fucked. Plus it takes to much to get it running properly when I take oil pump out and dont have anyone to help so yeah
