    how do i find out what year my bike is?

    hey guys trying to work out what year my bike is when i bought it the guy said he thinks its 1996 its a kdx 250 by the way the frame number is DX 250F-009078 if anyone can help thanks

    by the looks of it, its late 80s with the tubular frame

    try this site out it may help: www.buykawasaki.com

    its the Kawasaki america site it has all the specs on all kawasaki bikes parts diagrams etc

    nah no way its 80's the shape on the bike is to modern so cant be! i really hope its not! Lol that would totally suck

    well your frame design is pre 90 anyhow ! and according to the kawasaki files the KDX250 was dropped in 1994.

    the attached pics are KDX250B4 ( 84-90) & KDX250D1 (90-91) check the difference ! plus having worked in a kawasaki dealership around that era i've see a few.
    plus because its water cooled doesn't mean its young, kawaski intorduced water cooling on its KX moto-x bikes in late 1980 early 81 & if i remember right they dropped the air cooled KDX in 84-85
    either way its still a good bike! and as a reality check most of the enduros of the 80s were a hell of a lot better than their younger siblings ( engines were more fun & more could & can be done to them! )

    ah oks hmm well as long as its a good bike according to according to you someone with more knowledge on these bikes thats good coz i'm happy with it goes hard runs well!

    I'm prety sure that the first water cooled KXD's were the 89 or 90??
