Take it easy out there tonight - Sth Ak

The are pissed out Sth, just been listening to the scanner, a bike which was suspected of failing to stop earlier, pulled in to a gas station, a cop or two tried to garb the rider and he sped at them and dragged one behind for a short distance, before scaperring Sth down Gt Sth Road towards Manurewa.

Since then there has been a frenzy and all bikes are being looked at carefully. Evens ATTOMS are scanning the motorways and reporting back to units.

One bike was 'going quite quickly' towards East Tamaki, no units were close but they commented that it may have been a consolation prize for the bike that was missed earlier.

So keep your noses clean tonight, they are defintely not happy with us bikers.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

    dragged cops

In my younger days, I "may" have dragged off a few cops, but never actually dragged one along for the ride!!!

And he was so angry he wanted to charge him (in addition to the other ones) attack with a deadly weapon!

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Transit New Zealand runs ‘ATTOMS’, the Auckland Transit Traffic Operations Management Service, managing Auckland’s motorways and key regional arterial roads. ATTOMS is run from a control centre operating 24 hours a day, every day of the year

As FF says, they operate the spycams.

Yeah it gets real interesting at times, especially the chases.

Well I had a nice 'personal chat' to the policeman in question who was dragged trying to stop the bike. It was a stolen ZX6R, mid ninetys. The cop is a biker after work too.

Just had a bit of a tear in his jacket, looked fine to me... he was out lasering at mt wellington offramp at 9:40 or so, so can't have been that badly knocked around.

And yeah he is the one that got me disqualified. Nice guy though!

It's illegal to stop on the motorway unless I have nice flashign lights like you :P

    /spills story

Was doing under 110 all the way from symonds st onramp, some faggot in a toyota tureno tailgated me the whole way (I moved into the empty middle lane the whole way there while noone else was in the fast lane so it WAS deliberate). I was going to get off at Mt wellington so decided to wind it on so I wouldn't have him right up my arse when I had to brake for the offramp.

Wound it on a little too much, got pinged and the cop was suprised and thankful I stopped. Probably would have been close to binning it on the corner if it wasn't for them so I sorta have two minds about this incident. The cop was very nice and explained a whole lot of circumstances and why/how etc etc and what would have happened if the speed had not been as high.
There are a few more details but I won't post them on here.

He is just doing his job and was very nice, if I had nearly been killed by a stolen bike I would not have been as nice to myself that night... hats off to him.
