No I won't be pushing it hard. I've got alot to thank Brian Bernard for. My cornering speed has improved insanely! But, I'm loosing interest very quick with speed and public roads. I'm heading to Manfield on the 01 Dec and 16 Dec if you're keen to come for a run. I won't be thrashing it there either.
I'll probably still be the tail end charlie keeping my eye on the 250's.

think you might get bored with the gixxer on the open road and not being able to speed?

Same deal on anybike though. I choose my moments and to be honest, I get my thrills with accelerating rather than with top end speed.
The GSXR is wicked fun in a town too, as I found out today.

The track is the only place to truely enjoy it's speed. I'm not to keen at all on opening it up on public roads, the track would be great for a few quickish rounds.

That's partly you, keeping me honest! Which I'm grateful for.
I've been doing alot of rides with my mate Peter too, on his GSX250. But he's now got the Anniversary 600.
But I'm not always that keen on the high speed stuff or I'd be fighting my way towards the front, on our rides.

Thanks Ducatilover - I know, It's such an amazingly easy bike to handle, & it's so light thanks to all the titanium.
The weight of the 1000 is only 5kg heavier than the 600.
I'm also told the first gear will reach 170kph.

Dude if only people knew what's been going on......
Can't wait to see the new bike, you must be like a kid in a lolly shop.
Can I have a sit when you get it?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

Good on you Dafe. Sadly, it looks like the era of the big twin is coming to a (temporary) close (again).
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Interesting comment, a possible pt about the gixxer? Checked out the '98 GSXR600 against your current CBR600 and they aren't really worlds apart in power delivery, gixxer wins though, and being 10kgs lighter than the cbr with better brakes the gixxer would outride it...but that depends on the rider dunnit!

Hey Zed the reason I got a CBR was because apparently they are more forgiving than a gsxr if you make a mistake paticularily when cornering... I have only had my license for 4 months now... so I need all the help I can get but still wanted a cool looking fun to ride bike
