They are both cool bikes, and the riding position of both is quite different, but being more forgiving i'm not sure about, i reckon it's down to rider ability more than anything so if you bought a gixxer instead of the cbr then you'd learn to adjust accordingly and *master* it over time!

I'm not sure if they were marketed as sprots tourers? I consider them a *sports* bike. That particular model CBR has a centre stand, long single seat, and a fairly upright seating position, which are all qualities of a tourer! That's partly why I've owned 2 of em and a CBR900 and now a CBR1100. I like CBR's in other words. :spudguita

Hence you have the most insane CBR you could find A blackbird! I am very much enjoying it and it seems to be fine with my GF on the back too!

Until the CBR RR's, the CBR600's were considered among the most road user friendly, of the 600 sport bikes. However, as the envelope became narrower and more race oriented and most of the 600's became more track oriented, even 4-5 yr old bikes now seem more like sport tourers...
Interestingly, in the States, they sell at 2 levels - so (up to this year, anyway) you could get new models of the older 600's....CBR600F4i, ZZR600, and YZF600, sold more as "beginner bikes" This years ZZR600, for example is a 2001 model, ZX6R, and the current YZF600 is a 2001 R6!

Yea do this for sure, i always said i should do it, then i got a hole in it, think it was WT that did it too me, wanker, so i got his new Arai with one to repay the favour.

Go up a few teeth at the rear or down one on the front that'll liven the K6 up a bit, just what it needs, the gearing is stupid on the new GSXR's, i mean 250kph in 3rd WTF. What we want is stupid power badns and 4th gear power wheelies mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Watch the brakes too, dont ask me why but the one i test rode the brakes were shit compared to the K3, maybe some plonk glazed the pads, who knows.
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

The Colemans demo - brakes seemed the same as the K4...Heard the K3 does have slightly better brakes...

Hmm, never calculated it to be honest, hang on!

Yeah, pretty much bang on, about $20 a day. But like I said, worth every penny and still less than an hours work a day!

    Shweeet.

However the next one may come at a greater cost. Fuck.

Arrow Well done. Good write up

I had the same feeling on Sensei's K3 and it was much more comfotable to ride. However I reckon I'd easily be able to kill myself so hence what I ride. I'll look out for you next time I'm down that way (soon I hope).

I'll probably still be the tail end charlie keeping my eye on the 250's.
whats on at manfield on the 1st and the 16th man???? I could be interested in coming along for a lil track fun with you...[although it probally won't be fun after you lap me..........twice]....????
