*seriuos* A sports bike puts a lot more strain on the cervical spine[neck].
A cruiser puts more strain on the Lumbar spine[lower back].
Motorcycles such as VFR800's, Goldwings e.t.c probably represent the best compromise.

no i have found my hips and baa-youttocks take it all consider my old gn250 with its upright riding position, hmmmmmm dougy has an injured back....i put lower bars on the bike and voila the pain is somewhat less! though the bros is a much more comfortable bike [when i'm on the bloody thing] people say "ooooh that must be bad for your back because you are incapable of comparing the differences between upright riding position that i know you will be better off on and the riding position that obviously wont be a better choice because you, dougy, are claiming that you have riden a bike [or four] that have a mixture of these riding positions and found the bent over one [he he] more comfortable" well that has pretty much been said to me by some dutch prick i despise......man i'm being a fuckwit today.....anyway, i find that the bent over [ ahem ] position is what generates less stress on my widdle biddle diddums spine
