on top of the letters, we could do a convoy (even in cars) riding/drving at 20kms with slogan "Yes, We've slowed down. But people are still dying"

Ya know the campaign around schools that started in January this year, my mate in the cops just confirmed that they will wind back the meter to 55kmh and 105kmh by the mid year....not as bad as predicted, but I tried driving at exactly 55k's, the journey just got a whole lot slower, just what we need at $1.50 a litre! Their bleeding us slowly folks.

Thats just silly... Thier equipment might be ok but ours might be out. If i go down on sprocket tooth at the front it puts the whole speed thing out and most people do/ have done that??

Yeah, right! They just don't get it do they. They are barking up the wrong tree but they just keep on barking.

If you always do what you have always done don't expect anything to change. Cheers John.

i reckon Auntie Helen is doing this to generate more revenue" for all the fucking losers out there on benefits and to uphold our great politically correct social policy ,after all we need more refugees, and lets not forget paying off all the Iwi's because everything is Tapu" and everyone knows you can only remove a "Tapu" or ""Taniwha with loads of cash,--
Ps to all the fuckin losers out there on benefits, if you really need it" !!,,,,,
i apologize"and the above is not intended for you--

Quote"In its briefing to the new Government, NZ Police said strict new controls were the only way to meet the ambitious road safety target of reducing the road toll to 300 deaths a year by 2010, which is stipulated in the national road safety plan. "

What a crock of shit. The typical kiwi's lifestyle is fast and furious these days, it's the current way of living. It reflects in all we do.
It's a lifestyle cultured by the decisions the government makes.
The government knows that while the average persons life is fast paced, so will their driving be.

We all know it's about the revenue gathering. How many times do we hear the same bullshit alternative excuses?

In one of Paul Newman's early films,(before he started selling salad dressing)
He got pissed and wandered up the street cutting all the parking meters off with a pipe cutter.
I'm surprised this hasn't happened to speed camera poles yet.

So what would it be like if it was good? A few minutes rambling!

Wipe all of the current road laws and hand the responsibility for road safety over to the people who need it the most. The road users.

Implement one law which would be policed absolutely. Dangerous inconsiderate driving: Instant Loss of licence.

Dangerous inconsiderate driving with malice: Instant Loss of life.

Police officers word would be final and binding.

Police officer found in breach of duty and/or trust: Instant loss of life.

Issue all police with automatic firearms.

Cut the number of Politicians down to twelve. Two of them would be relief for those who are absent or ill.

Government only responsible for Police, Army, Navy, Air-force and (tangible) establishment of true requirement of Social Welfare.

    Privatise everything else.

Review and mimimise all other laws maximise penalties as above.

Boom in funeral services would take care of any temporary unemployment. YES.

A friend once said to me: You know, the older we get the more right wing we become! I think he's right. Cheers John. (goodnight)

How about for every single fine that we get, we contest it (be it 5km over or 50). It would clog up the courts so much that the legal juggernaut would grind to a halt due to all the trivial shit jamming it up. The cop in question has be in court to present the evidence, meaning they are off the roads in that time unable to issue tickets to the rest of the population. Reckon this is a good plan anyone?
