    OUCH!
good to see he was wearing leathers...ie-his own hide!
i had an Electra Glide, which'd lean further than that tho'; looks like his footrest didn't "fold" up, or perhaps the crash bar touched down.
check out his front tyre in the middle picture tho'...that can't help!

Yup. Looks like he may have tried a bit of braking to get the bike to stand up. Pity his front wheel was off the ground at the time.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I've seen it heaps before too - but I still can't figure out why he fell off the inside of the bike before it went down, almost like he bailed out,or just fell of the bike...literaly! He should be able to slide on front and rear bars anyway, kinda like a skateboard on castors, but no way has he lost it yet - why bail?

The inertia of the beer gut took over.

Or he remembered someone talking about hanging off, but forgot to hang on.

Followed a 'bagger H-D from Deadwood to Sturgis, on all the left corners he leaned with the bike o.k. but on the right-hand ones he sort of sat upright like the dude in this crash appears to be doing, any theories as to WHY people do this?????

Is it true that the max angle of lean for some of the 'chunkier' HDs is a mere 20 degrees?
