    Are magnesium wheels lighter than carbon? I thought it was the other way around. If carbon is lighter, then why wouldn't they use those on a money-no-object bike like this?

    Depends on grade of magnesium... and grade of carbon/apoxy used etc etc etc. Generally carbon is lighter cause you arn't puttin a $10000+ set of magnesium wheels on ...

    Oh yeh and the road thing.....
