Biker down on the way to Akaroa yesterday?

one of my workmates was talking today about seeing a bunch of bikers milling about with rescue chopper, cop cars and fire engines on the way to Akaroa yesterday... sounds like the Takamatua end.

    Anybody heard about that?

    I know what you mean...

to clarify, I am not sure if ANYONE on a bike was injured. I certainly havent heard about it other than this guy saying he saw some bikers stopped. They might have just stopped to see what was going on if some turkey drove off the road.

I might have to ring my bro, He's one of the fire & rescue crew overthere.
I learnt to ride on those hills, its not for the faint hearted. but treated with respect can be very rewarding.

Bugger. Heard about it but I didn't know what happened.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
