    Sounds like a good trip.
I would have kept Zadok company at the back of the group had I not been slaving in the garden in Thunder storms!

No need to apologise mate. I got no problems with fast riders - you're becoming faster by the day even gave Zed a run for his money

Great pic's there Zadok & Zed, ... and added them to my own.... as good as remembering to carry your own camera
And Zed thanks for organising. The table booked at Whitianga was a nice touch
We made it back to Hamilton without falling off and sounds like you Auckland guys did too. Lets keep the stats up!

Yeah Zed, A bit late, but I must say thank you for a about the best ride I think I have been on. Last time I was at Whangamata I was too drunk to remember and never been to Waihi before. The roads were excellent and a great bunch of people too.

I second all the comments. Thanks for the Kiwi welcome. Great to meet you all. I had an enjoyable day. I'll look forward to reading more ride writeups and seeing some more pics. I'll be in Auck Sunday before heading out to Oz early Mon morning. Catch you on K.B. :spudwave:

Great to meet a fellow enthusiast too there Marty!
You must be an enthusiast to drag that piece around the loop, top marks for that.
Reminds me of an early trip to Aus & car hire. I thought wow great the land of the mighty holden. What would they give me.... Price was important tho and what did I drive away with but a tired Carmia. And tired it was. Were in Sydney and the poor thing was supposed to be restricted to the city. Took it out to the Blue Mountains. It went really well .not.!
So commiserations to you Marty. You come to the land of twisties and end up with a cruser!!
I bet that Buell you left at the shop was looking pretty good by the time you got home!! And you would have been BigDaves mate for life without even meeting him!

You know some of us deal with taking cruisers on the twistie roads everyday and we find nothing wrong with it lol.

Well I followed Zadok for a short stretch to see what was happening, and for sure the foot rest was scrapping the ground with quite minimal lean on the bike. If you are not used to 'bits' of your bike scrapping on the ground it can be quite frightening! So he just slowed down and Nana'd it along - see, it is quite possible to ride like a Nana on a KB ride!!

Buddy I'd like to see you on a huge 1500cc cruiser keeping up with us on the coro loop with large 150 size flat profile front tyres.

Zadok was doing bloody marvelously considering how difficult it must have been for him to pass cars and lean it over - he was scraping his footrests pretty frequently.

Hey I do KB rides as often as I can and I'm the biggest nana around, so there's more proof towards your sentence.

No I don't consider you a Nana at all JSG. The only thing holding you back is the size of your engine! Let the world beware once you upgrade!

Lol I think you guys misunderstood me. What I meant was some on here do ride cruisers around the twistie roads. It is possible and not as bad an experiance as Warr was implying. (don't think I was attcking him cause I wasn't. Me and him are on good terms and ride with each other whenever I can afford to go on one and he is available for it)

Would be glad to take a 1500cc bike out for a spin, though I would make sure that it had foot pegs rather than floorboards. Even with the large front tyre. Not my preference but it will handle better with the front and rear tyres being nearly the same size.

And grinding the pegs/floorboards/whatever is fun once you get used to it. Exspecialy when comming around a corner and there is someone on the inside of it taking pictures. Then they can catch you in all your sparkly glory lol.

Some good points made about those footboards. The thing is, when it's your first ride on a style of bike you're not used to and there is a $2500 excess hanging over your head, you have to be carefull! It was all good fun.
