Keep riding in the snow
"PC Racing hopes to enhance your attitude about winter snow riding with its Moto-Ski™. The Moto-Ski™ easily attaches to most off road motorcycles, and enables the motorcycle’s front wheel not only to remain in place, but to function normally. On dirt, the Moto-Ski™ is barely noticeable, but it makes riding in the snow, not only more manageable, but fun! Although the Moto-Ski™ keeps the front end of the motorcycle above the snow surface in all snow conditions, the Moto-Ski™ is intended for firm snow conditions, and is ideal on groomed snow trails. In ideal conditions, the motorcycles front wheel will stay above the surface most of the time, while the spring loaded Moto-Ski™ will stay up and out of the way. In the occasional soft snow spot, when the front wheel submerges in the snow, the Moto-Ski™ pivots down flat and supports the motorcycles front end. The submerged front wheel acts like a rutter, and in conjunction with the Moto-Ski™ rails, controlled turning is possible.
The main ski is made of UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) plastic. UHMW has exceptionally high abrasion and impact resistance properties. It will outwear all other materials, including metals, nylons, urethanes, and flouroplastics. Most motorcycle chain blocks are made of UHMW plastic. Think about how long it takes your chain to wear out the block and you get a good idea about UHMW. The connecting channels and adaptor brackets are made of 4130 chromoly. This is the same material commonly used in aircraft wings. This metal is extremely strong and lightweight. All metal parts are commercially zinc plated to prevent rusting.
Easily attaches to most bikes by using the front axle pinch bolts. In general, the Moto-Ski fits most full size off road motorcycles with upside down forks.
