Yeha the riding position is very racy but that was the bike was desinged in the first place for racing first and formost.

these namby maby 600s are all good i am going from a 96 gsxr1100 down to a 04 gsxr600 cause they are really a perfect size for the ride (750 good as well)

And well don't get me started on vtwins, i don't like them the wife got an 02 vtr1000f and they are not me, riden all type of v twins and i don't like them, just my personal prefence tho, but the vtwin suits how she rides.

the only time I have had second thoughts about getting the gixxer was seeing a super shiny low K VERY bright green mint condition ZX-7R at mount eden m/c for $10500 when I went to show of the gsxr. Lucky sod whoever got that one! i love the 7R and could probably/maybe happily 'trade down' to an older 7R if I needed some more capital off the G6. having said that, i'm probably too used to the twithcy thing now and would get frustrated by the 7.
    still... looks super hot!

Did you buy my corona extra 600 you

hahaha j/k I wanted to get one of those but the day i called the dealer with last one someone had just brought it at the morning other wise i would have one now, and it would match my two piece leather so well.

Yeah i know the feeling i would buy a brand new zx7r right now if i could, but i want a FI bike for my next bike. The feeling of them on the road is so primo well i think so, feels nice and planted on the road, not all twicty over bumps thru coroners, takes a good pish to get in the coroners but thats all good, but that whats gives it chartacer, well most bikes have charater as long as they not hondas hehehhe j/k

not me! I had mine ordered as soon as I saw the ads in september summer fest advertising and then had to stuff round for 2 months waiting for the sodding thing to pitch up!

not sure what you mean by 'not twitchy' with EFI bikes. Suzuki is supposed to have one of the smoothest systems and I still find it very very sensitive and jumpy at low revs below 40 kph.

Get on your bike, ride to Wellington and book it in for a TEKA tune with Wellington Motorcycles. Takes a days work, not cheap but PM Jimbo750 and ask what he thinks of his tune.

I haven't got the dosh for it yet but SHIT is his bike good to ride after that!

TRE does nothing for for over all throttle response.

We fitted one of those as well and the only difference we could feel was on the change from 1st to 2nd. It gained revs quicker in 2nd gear than without it. Cheap mod though, and ya sound cool talking about your TRE in the pub.

The motorcycling public also is very affectionate of the GSX-R750 (especially in Europe). I particularly backwards friend (and a member of this forum) who will not touch anything else with a barge pole even though he consistantly gets hosed off by my 600! heh heh, you like that Jimbo?

    Anyway, long live the GSX-R750!
Nice shot mate. I'm surprised that you failed to mention that it was on the warm up lap too. It's no wonder I had an episode after jumping off Jo's absolute weapon 600 and jumping onto an ordinary 600.

Trash is right. I wont be seen on anything but a gixxer 750. The one I'm on now is my 4th. And no I haven't crashed the others before any smartarse asks.

Not much difference after fitting a TRE. However, the TEKA tune made a massive difference. Better than a power commander. The 750 pulls like a schoolboy all over the rev range. Also you get brilliant TEKA stickers to grace your fairing, and everyone just loves that eh Trash

hmm... i've had varying responses about the TRE system them. a hayabusa owner I know of couldn't believe the difference (along with a few net reviews) but you guys reckon they're fairly pants. dunno what to think.

whats a TEKA tune and how much??

Hehe... I'm biased of course, but I certainly dont regret buying my ZXR. They get a bad rap for various reasons (mostly the gay green/purple paint job probably :-) but after test riding a bunch of new 600's and 1000 twins recently I realised the 750 Kwacka has a lot to offer, is fun to ride, and for not a lot of money. Gixxer's are in the same camp of course, only a smidgen better in most performance areas. Not enough for me to really notice the difference.

It does crispen the throttle at up to 1/2 throttle position a bit, but it has no effect at full noise. 'Busa owners will notice a bigger difference as the TRE de-restricts them. Go for the TEKA. It's alot more expensive, but worth it, expecially if you have an aftermarket end can.

Yeah i would buy one as well myself but i want something fuel injected, and i do alot of communting, which a zx7r is not really good for not that i am saying a gsxr600 is gonna be good for either. But the green/purple paint is all good thats kawa colours, love the green. but its all good. The 750s do have alot of ofter i agree with you that that 1000cc twin mark i don't like twins myself, most of the other 600s i don't only ones i do are the kawa and the gixxer
