for the record, I commute on mine and
    a) it is NOT the comfy chair. my neck is giving me real grief (compounded by office work and not a lot of sports activity)
    b) it is a little wide at times but the mirrors are quite good for checking for cops on on-ramps, disco lights etc
    c) throttle is a little snatchy down low but you get used to it
    d) brakes and engine are phenomenal for it. very stable under brakes
    e) stock dunlop 207s seem to take ages to heat up properly. when commuting, unless you have a good stretch of open road to start on, getting the bastards hot enough is hard and means you loose a significant amount of grip. I know- I crashed leavign my drive on cold tyres

so whats a ZX-7R like for commuting?? I'm curious to find out

    b) the zx7r is even wider then a gsxr
    c) just imagine those carbs on a cold winters day taking forever to warm up and get right,
    d) about same for the zx7r
    e) i live rural so i got alot of open riding to get my work, so i never run to that problem. and your second problem was using dunlops dc:<

old? not really.. just not keeping fit! and I use it for at least an hour each day.
I knew the dunlops were pants when I got it and I had the diablo corsas first on my shopping list but i didn't quite have the capital at the time. (sod it!)

but so long as I'm not on straight boring motorways or 50kmhr streets (too easy to get 30+ over the limit) the GSXR is flipping wicked. its also great when its not moving at all because lots of people love the paint scheme

... oh and on the track it is sensational!!! very confidence inspiring

you don't need the $170 TRE anyway for that effect.. you can get one off the net for $60 and it does the same deal and its easy to get rid of at service time

AS bill Lawry once said 'CANARY YELLOW?!' Suzuki would have us believe its orpiment yellow and metallic purple (I had to look orpiment up.. its a mineral).

any biker offering comment on mine has so far given me positive feedback. don't know what the cagers think (do I really care?)

Yep thats damn straight can do it alot cheaper than $170.

Gotta love that carnary yellow pretty much what my new 04 is gonna be, they are due here last week of march i was talking to dealer yesterday.

98 srads are very very good, quick as hell, and handle great, i am pretty sure the 98 is fuel injected if so they are alot better than carb versions. They migth be a little heavier and not turn in as quick as brand new bikes, but still plenty enough for anyone on the road
