Investing too much time and energy in ANY online community will always cause you problems. A community like this site is open to anyone and will constantly evolve and change. Whether the changes are good or bad is up to you and how you take them.

There may be people that you object to but they're part of the community and leaving because of them is achieving their goals for them. Make liberal use of the Ignore list, it's the only way. Many people have a cry cos they reckon they shouldn't need to use the Ignore list, and in an ideal world we wouldn't need it. But this isn't an ideal world. It's an electronic (not even made of air, it's all electrons) world with people behind screens, so the Ignore list is necessary and will save you a lot of grief.

Good that you've come back. Look forward to riding with you some time.

Good that you're back MR!! though you may not have been posting, certainly you've not been forgotten.

look forward to seeing you on some rides - well at the start and stops anyway.

some good points made by MT Trousers....might help for all of us to keep these in mind for future reference, as the site continues to evolve, change and head off in random directions.
