your right it is very slow.... slower than what it should be.... they shoud be able to pull 180~200 on a good day..... my cbr hits the limiter in top gear at 180 at the moment.... but i will change the gearing cause its not standard

    Cheers RG100!!

I had figured out it was about that. Had ridden down the road next to the car at 50 etc. but wasn't sure about higher speeds. Aparently you can get them calibrated but its bloody expensive. May be an option 1 day

That would be awesome on that little bike, it's like lightning around corners. Theres no chance it'll do 180 at the moment

have you cleaned the power valves out on your RG and inspected all the workings inside?? if not i would reccommend you do that. The RG150 powervalves are know to 'gunk' up and fail to work properly..... eg. they dont open up all the way or dont fall back down.

Another reason to check them is if they break and fall into your cylinder they can make a big mess

    IMHO anyways

I haven't tampered with it yet. Is it fairly easy to dismantle the engine? I haven't had any experience in changing pistons and all that

yea two stokes are easy..... but for someone that has not done one before i would search the net and down load a manual so you can always look back to make sure your doing it right.

I'll have to try find a manual. Has anyone got an online one?

Should I be fine trying to do it myself or is it best to get some help? I guess I can always try and if i mess it up take it to the shop. Save on labour to dismantle the bike
