Sales of badges and other memorabilia also help as the prices include a donation to the charity and the run itself helps raise public awareness of the charity. (Try not being aware when you're stuck on a side road as around 800-old bikes roll sedately along SH1 between Cambridge and Hamilton bedecked with soft toys...)
The cubs each have a badge from the toy runs they were on in utero. The latest will be born before the next Cambridge-Hamilton toy run so she won't be getting a badge until she's old enough to pillion.

it was almost like being back at the acc protest ride to wellington, bikes for africa .what has become of the nood or the wave on my way home to gulf harbur only 1 in 5 bikes returned my wave. we were on the coper busa
I can't understand that. I feel really pleased with the cops on the Toy Runs - out there stopping traffic and directing us to the right place through town, kindly turning a blind eye to the bikes that are on the toy run without warrant or rego...Originally Posted by Dynamytus50
I'm not the only bugger I've seen giving them a erspectful wave as we roll past.
The toy runs are excellently helped out by the cops.
