I had a great time on my VTR250. But even more unreal was the fact that when I got back to Cyclespot after the ride, I traded my bike in for a VTR1000!! I'm a bad man.

So I've been riding all day until now. Need a nanna nap I think. I have some photos. I'll attach.
So you did trade the VTR ...now I'll have to convince the other half to upgrade mine .See you at work on Monday
It's a long winding road to heaven......

A charitable event wherein a large number of bikers load up their bikes with toys and block traffic for a goodly distance and deliver said toys to some predesignated place to give to a charity.

The Cambridge to Hamilton run - maximum 80km/h all the way from Victoria Street Cambridge to somewhere in Hamilton (Garden Place, last year) - is in aid of Child Cancer.

Sales of badges and other memorabilia also help as the prices include a donation to the charity and the run itself helps raise public awareness of the charity. (Try not being aware when you're stuck on a side road as around 800-old bikes roll sedately along SH1 between Cambridge and Hamilton bedecked with soft toys...)

The cubs each have a badge from the toy runs they were on in utero. The latest will be born before the next Cambridge-Hamilton toy run so she won't be getting a badge until she's old enough to pillion.

I was right up front behind Santa's Trike... and had a couple of riders who were a tad all over the place, so I wasn't gonna risk it.... But I did see ya there and I did wave and toot to you.

I can't understand that. I feel really pleased with the cops on the Toy Runs - out there stopping traffic and directing us to the right place through town, kindly turning a blind eye to the bikes that are on the toy run without warrant or rego...

I'm not the only bugger I've seen giving them a erspectful wave as we roll past.

The toy runs are excellently helped out by the cops.
