I was very surprised when I joine dup to find that Ixion was not taken. It seems so obvious a nom de plume for a biker forum that I was sure it would have been snapped up in the very early days. But no, so now I follow , in my lesser humble way, in the giant footsteps of my illustrious and canonical namesake.

From Papamoa eh? Did you hear about that truck that was stolen from over Whakatane way and involved in a high speed pursuit to Mt Maunganui? I had just filled up with petrol at the Shell just North of the Papamoa turn off when it went hurtling by. There are some road works just by the turn off and that truck sent witches hats flying everwhere. There were bits of them all over the road for kilometers. Three cop cars in pursuit and one coming from Maungatapu way when I turned off for Tauranga. Bit of excitement.

no i didnt, what time?, what type of truck? (mini or big) i was on that road in the afternoon. thanks for the info
