If anyone thought a Fazer 1000 was slow or doesn't handle...

... take a look at this.

It is a link to a video of a Fazer Thou following an R1, 998 and Z1000. Except he’s not behind the Z1000 for long.

If anyone ever tries to tell me that Fazers are slow or don’t handle compared to “proper” sportsbikes, show them this. Very impressive.

Not only that, his lines generally only took into account his lane, while the guys in front were using more of the road. A couple of times there he was outbraking them on a heavier bike.

Notice the rev counter? It's all done with mid-range.

    Superb rider.

The cars REALLY got out of the way too.

Huh? - My complaint with the fazer is that it's too fast - for a 'real world R1' - it still needs 7,500rpm for the motor to get cookin' and by that time the blue and reds are flashing.
It should be tuned for better low end torque. I spent a day jumping off a Sprint St and onto the KR long term Fazer and the triple is heaps more useable.

The Fazer had the record for Bike magazines road test circuit. 440 miles over a variety of motorways, A roads and B roads.

It has been one of my favourite bikes for a while, looks awesome

How far off is it from the R1? Can you tune it back to R1 speed?

Road Racers eh! No, Fazers aren't slow at all, but when you get 4 x 1000cc bikes together on the road like that it's more rider ability than which bike...that Z1000 with the right rider could smoke em all!

    Why would you want to?
