    photos being taken at roadworks

I rode through some roadworks with a stop/go person at each end today. I was at the front of the queue and as I exited the one way section the stop/go person at the other end was taking a photo of me.

    Why?

I don't like having photos taken of me without my permission.

Anyone got any thoughts on why they would be taking pictures of traffic passing through roadworks?

Tourists? You should be able to pull over and ask them for the photo.

Believe me some people are just nutty and feel the need to take photos of anything and everything, there may be no valid explanation....

Bastards. Maybe they were just admiring the pretty bikes. You should have pulled a wheelie past them while yelling obsenities and giving them a brown eye.

I once saw dangerous do that.

    They need the numberplate first.

Stop riding your bike in the city then - you get a camera pointed at you many times across the town.

That's in the future you know - cameras at point a and point b scan your numberplate as you drive past - and if the time equates to an average speed higher than the posted limit between the two.....in the mail.

The system has been running in NSW on the big rig trucks for 10 years.

If you are out in Public then you are fair game for photos.
You have no grounds to stop someone taking a photo of you or with you in it.
Thats why Papparazzi get away with it, the law is on their side.

Why don't you ring the contractor and ask them? They may in fact be pissed off that their staff are taking photos at work.

Now Big Dave, settle down, I wasn't in the city - I was on the Riverhead - Coatesville Road.

And it was only the exit lady that was taking the photo, not the lady at the beginning so it couldn't be that.

I should have stopped and asked I suppose.

they're probably doing some new collateral and they needed a sexy chick on a sexy bike, cos it'll look good and it'll look like they're taking care of us bikers. But then you came along instead..
