Hey, SJ who's the chick who rides down from our way every morning on a dark blue SV (I think she goes past too quick)? She got long hair.

How about a visit to the landlord then?
Umm, my flats in Brooklyn butim staying in Hataitai atm.... aren't you in Karori?...

Oh yeah, he property managers refuse to give out his name, apparently he (being the landlord) wants to remain anonymous to his tenants, the guys a right royal prick he tells the property managers whats what and thats it. Im sure i'll know who he is once ive been thru tenancy tribunal though.

Sorry, thought you were up that way.

Landlord who wants to remain annonymous? Sounds like the guy upstairs - you didn't move into a halfway house by mistake did you?

    Sweet as.

Unfortunately the guy upstairs owns the flat he's in and I know the first name of my landlord cause the property manager let slip, not the same person...

So no visits to anyone then? SPOILSPORT!!

Don't get me wrong I'm not prone to violence nor do I advocate it, but I've been in a position (when I was a lot younger) and I got screwed over by the landlord and the guy who was subletting to me. I just get hot under the collar when it comes to landlords.... Look how much WINJA upsets people round here!!

    Hi there SJ
Seriously just move out, now. Do not wait, Do not pass go, just get out of Dodge, put your gear in storage and move in with the boyfriend. When you are finished with the landlord, get someplace else, lodge a complaint with the police, make something up if you have to, but get away from the nutjob. I am sure that there would be plenty of KBers who can help you move your stuff if you need it, just dont do it alone. Getting a photo of him would also be a good idea, if it can be done without making a fuss.
Keep talking to the police until someone takes notes and recognises he's a dangerous nutjob.

    Why?

I don't like having photos taken of me without my permission.

Anyone got any thoughts on why they would be taking pictures of traffic passing through roadworks?

Basically if you are on your own private property you can take photos of anyone/anything on public or your own private property. If you are on public property you can take photos of anyone/anything on public land, and all this is entirely legal. Our "legal" system sucks arse.
Wouldn't have a clue about publishing the photos etc though
now if you just stop flashing him..........

My 2c worth. In both your cases why not claim that taking your photo is trespassing on your culture, and the advice from your Iwi is that it can only be done in a culturally appropriate way. This involves the transfer of a substantial amount of cash or a complaint will be laid with the Human Rights Commission (Ngati Dadpole branch)

KEYSTONE - sorry for the thread hi-jack mate!!!
This is a good way to go as the Tenancy Tribunal normally sides with the tenant. What you could do with the PMC is offer to pay the re-advertising costs for new tenants and PMC comapny fees , it maybe a couple of hundred at the most. You can find out the owner / owners company by getting a title search done on the flat.
Normal you would have a contract with the PMC and the PMC will have another contract with the owner so it makes the contracts harder to break.
Perhaps let Mental Health know about the neighbours actions .

We had a tenant that had something similar , the boyfriend moved out shortly after they moved in , had signed up for a year. Shortly after that she thought that someone was stalking her / watching her ,called the police a few times etc. We thought it was better for her to move on than have her living like that. Hasn't been any trouble before / since she moved in/out which is good for us.

The guys with the signs are getting really tough on people going over 30 km/h or whatever the posted speed limit is.

There is the new advert campaign and they are sick of the danger of their job being hit by vehicles and flying stones and such.

When I was waiting in queue last weekend, I saw them drop the go sign in frount of a SUV trying to get it to slow down (probably doing about 80?) and it didn't so the sign took a huge amount of paintwork off the side...

Yeah, they're getting pissed about the unsafe drivers while they're working.

In my defence, I was not breaking the posted speed limit and I can completely understand these guys getting pissed at people speeding. It annoys me when I slow down for roadworks and a bunch of cars tailgate me all the way through because they want to go at 60 instead of 30.

The stop/go lady taking the photos appeared to be taking them as a matter of course regardless of who was coming around the corner. She had the camera out and ready before I got there. They were setting up again today when I went past so perhaps I will stop and ask them on my way home today. Will keep you posted.

There was a post (can't be bothered looking for it) in this thread about someone else being photographed, so it seems its a campaign thing. If it's just a normal digital camera it won't have the ability, the steadiness (being handheld), or the accuracy to be used as evidence for any supposed crime ie. speeding. Interested to see what they're up to though.
