Ok well on a brighter note.. Mum took me to Shaws in Whangarei to have a nosey at the bikes. Nothing of interest cept their little bike they loan to people sitting their bike licence. Cute little bike and nice and glittery too *oo glitter* (yes I just liked the glitter)
Anywho the guys there know my mum and dad and we all got talking. They pretty much took one look at me and told me to get myself a GN250 to learn on. (yes I can hear you all laughing) The bike outside their shop was a 250cc Kawasaki GPX I think. Which they reckoned I would find very uncomfortable.
Anyway I got sick of people on here telling me I don't have to beable to touch the ground firmly with both feet etc etc. Mum was always shaking her head calling me a silly girl for listening to what she thinks is utter crap. (she rides and learnt on a bike where she could not touch the ground properly)
So due to the fact that mum and a number of people at this shop recommend I get a GN to start off with thats what I'm going to do. (I finally have mum on my side when it comes to getting a bike) YAY!
Also the reason for getting a new GN would be the warranty side of things. Mum only knows so much about bikes, so if anything goes wrong with it I would not know what the heck to do and I would have no one who could help me with every single thing that goes wrong.
So now, down to my point. What sort of prices would you be looking at for a new GN250? Does the price you pay include on road costs or do you have to pay for that on top of the price for the bike? What sort of warranties usually come with these bikes? I know they would depend from store to store but some sort of "approximate" answer would be okay, just to give me some sort of idea as to what price range I'm looking at all up, so that soon as i sort my finances out I will be all up and go.![]()
