Give it to the cops and they will check the dna data base, see it can be good.

    That really sux dude.

WTF is society coming to when random shit like this happens.....

You weren't in bike gear I take it? A helmet is a good pacifier if someone's getting physical....I used to live in an apartment where you had to go round the outside of the building to get to the gargre - a helmet in one hand makes a good self defence tool!

    problem solved

    here is a "preventatave measure"
get a piece of 4mm mild steel plate 250mm x 250mm (maybe more)
drill 4 holes with centres 25 mm from front edge (each the size of your fingers in the plate)
grind off front but leave the end closest to your finger so it becomes a point.
sharpen down end that runs paralell to your little finger as long as desired
file holes to the profile of your fingers
    de-burr the holes
now you have a small device to slip into your wallet.
known as a knuckle duster (this is my own design, made for nightclub brawls etc... where you have the disadvantage)
    dont engineers rock?

Hey fella, not good to hear 'bout this. Good that you've said something not good it happened. Keep an eye out, and in all seriousness go with someone when you go out.

On the bright side Wellington is looking pretty good.

Sorry to hear about this bro, what a shit city we live in...

Like WINJA says though aye...only one kind of insurance against this kinda shit. Even if all of the cops were off highway patrol, they still couldn't prevent these things from happening reliably. Learn to get feral on them, biting through someone like this's ear or cheek will likely put the shits up them enough that they'll piss off, or at least give you enough time to bail.

A mate of mine trained with that dude on Anzac Ave too. Awesome trainer and a good guy I hear.

I used to live in the hostel down the end of that street...it would be kind of a muggers paradise really.
