Shit Winja, that's a few years ago then....good story though LOL!! hard case. i could imagine LOLO saying something like that!! I used to train at Lee Gar Albany with Eddie, and go to LOLO's gym for sparring. City gym was invite only though. my current boxing trainer used to train with LOLO when they were both still fighting. it's a small world ay?!

a bit of basic self defence should be part of the PE school curriculum...then we wouldn't have half the hassles like this guy had.
Jim-bob the mechanic, Greymouth: That tyre's fkd..it wouldn't even make it to CHCH!

MV: "phew, just as well we're not goin to CHCH, then...we're off to AKL!!

ONCE WERE WARRIORS - PORIRUA EDITION!

    I hate all this aggression!

I was riding with a mate through Porirua a week ago.
My mate was well infront on the motorway and came up quickly behind a car on the motorway. The car was going pretty slow so I caught up to my mate on the offramp quite quickly.
This dude in the car was leaning right over from the front passenger seat giving us the finger. He had two young kids (approx 5 years old) in the back seat. We then saw him slapping the chick that was driving.
Through the first roundabout, he was leaning over again giving us the fingers with both hands.
I figured he's really got it in for my mate for coming up on them so quick.
So I pressed ahead of my mate as he dropped back behind me, next roundabout and I noticed the guy opening the door, then he jumped out. My mate scrambled around the other side of the car and through the roundabout.
I noticed the guy was Mongrel Mob with full facial tatts, gang patches etc.
I looked at my exit route but thought fuck this!
I braked, stopped and just sat there. This prick comes over and says:
You wanna go? What the fuck are you looking at?
I said nothing ignoring him. Looking straight at him of course, because he really wouldn't know what I was looking at in my full tint visor.
He leaned right up to my visor shouting - U wanna fucking go?
    Again, I ignored him.
The fucking coward eventually returned to his car & pissed off. Probably beating his wife on the way..... especially since he couldn't use his mindgames of fear on me. Bloody coward is quick enough to slap his wife and make threatening gestures, but when presented with a guy who didn't give a shit about any of it, he walks away!?!
I was raised in Porirua getting the shit beaten out of me day in day out. I'm just so tired of this behaviour!
When I think about it, I guess there is alot of mystery about a guy sitting on his bike, unfazed - obviously not giving a fuck, faceless as well and especially when he's reasonably solid built. You'd have no idea what you are getting yourself into.
Anyway, if he had a problem with my mate, why should he take it out on me?

Sucks to hear about this, hope you heal up quickly. Fuck scum like that, this is the kinda stuff I hate to hear happen in NZ.

A good defensive tool when walking to your car or whatnot in a dark place is to have your keys in your hand with the metal part of the key sticking out between your fingers - if someone attacks you all you need to do is land a medium to hard punch to them and the key should penetrate and give them a nasty shock - hopefully sending them running away thinking they have been knifed.

Sorry to hear your tale. It's never fun to be on the receiving end of random violence and it's never fun having your money/belongings taken by low-lifes. Both combined has got to suck big time.

I hope they get busted and I hope your sore stomach isn't anything serious - there are some vital bits in there you don't want to get damaged.

If you figure you could recognise them again, keep an eye out - they're obviously local to the area and you might be able to find out who they are/where they live.

I agree with Superdave..I always have my keys in my hand between my fingers ready, I like to avoid all trouble if I can but sometimes trouble comes knocking

So go hard if someone wants to try it on. No such thing as nice and fair . Give them something to think about in hospital

If you guys are going to employ these tactics, just farkin make sure you can outrun these guys! Cos, obviously the consequences if you get caught, will be heavily life threatening!

That's a killer blow. Better be a life threating situation or there's some serious shit coming.

I'm hearing you dude! If you do deliver the killer blow, do you wanna have murder on your conscience for the rest of your life???
Fuck that, I'd rather have a bash, loose 80 bucks and know I didn't kill a man I didn't have to. Even if he was a scum!

Some of the places I've been and people I know I don't talk about but some tricks I've picked are truly original. Most people have heard of replacing lead with rocksalt for face shots but it pales into comparisons when glass from a light bulb is used. The glass is so light there is very little penetration and if you use the clear glass from lightbulbs impossible to remove. And it gets everywhere, mouth throat, eyes, nose etc. Very nasty. Just the thing for these muggers. A bit of street justice.

You're either going to fight back or you're not.
