    Illegal without a low volume vehicle certification, or illegal fullstop?

    The intention of the ruling is to make them illegal full stop as they have no way of controlling the retro fit market - like anyone can import their own off the internet from who knows where complying with who knows what standards....you could get backyarders making their own.But present one to a LVV certifier and see what they say.We are well on the way to a vehicle having to meet day of compliance regs for all it's natural life.

    Exactly, the HID light I use has a ballast/inverter, and as it can only have a single filament the "bulb" unit slides in and out of the housing thus changing the pattern

    If you want more light try the +50's that Narva bring out, also you can get all weather and arctic blue... You could get the long range infer red that BMW have brought out and use a heads up display type thing that overlaps the image on the inside of your visor all done with blue tooth to save the wire trees of coarse!
    Might be a bit on the costly side tho...
    We all have our little obsessions...
